National Committee for Ethics in Research
This committee is an advisory body of the Research Vice-presidency, having among its duties cooperating with the Research Vice-presidency in the formulation of institutional ethical criteria on research, among others.
- Formulate institutional ethical criteria on research, following current principles and norms, both national and international.
- Determine the general guidelines for the creation and operation of the ethics committees in every campus.
- Give, when required, ethical judgements on research projects involving living beings or material from them.
- Advise the Research Vice Rectory in the decision-making regarding ethical aspects in research.
