Optimal economic design method of continuous photobioreactors for microalgae culture: future work
Microalgae culture in photobioreactors is expensive to produce, because the process consumes a lot of energy in the unit operation; as a result microalgae culture cannot compete in the industrial market. Anyway, microalgae culture has a lot of benefits besides economic issues, so there is a lot of work on the topic. Literature about the topic consider that optimization of microalgae culture is necessary. But, optimization needs a lot of effort to make. One possibility to obtain more productivity efficiently from photobioreactor operation is to use a continuous system. Pitifully, industrial continuous bioprocess is still on research. Efficient photobioreactors has been designed and constructed, but there is still some work to do. Light and Dark cycles has beneficial effects on microalgae conditions and it depends on fluid dynamics. Moreover, mixing is an important phenomenon in PBR operation cost. That is why, future development on energy efficient photobioreactors must take into account tools like computational fluid dynamics

EEG signals acquisition, generalities and pre-ictal characterization. State of the art
In this presentation EEG data acquisition, data description and some generalities are shown in order to describe the dataset which is going to be used in the thesis. Then, a state of the art for pre-ictal characterization is presented.
