Travel grants for early career researchers 2020 (Nature Communications journals)

The Communications journals (Biology, Chemistry, and Physics) are pleased to offer travel grants for early career researchers.

The programme aims to help promising researchers travel to an international scientific meeting of their choice that they would otherwise have not been able to attend due to a lack of funds.

Three grants, each of €2,500, are available to promising early career scientists whose research is focused upon one of the three subject areas covered by the journals to support the costs of travelling to and participating in a conference.

You must:

  • Be a postdoctoral scientist with up to 5 years of research experience or currently completing a PhD.
  • Be conducting research within the areas of biology, chemistry or physics.
  • Have either been accepted, applied, or plans to apply to present a poster or oral presentation ata specific scientific meeting that will take place in 2020.
  • Be able to demonstrate that you have no other funds to travel.

* If you do not meet these criteria but feel that you should be considered due to a contributing factor (such as a leave of absence) please tell the organisers why when you submit your application.

Deadline: 27 October 2019
