147 new EU Innovative Training Networks to select 2000 PhD candidates
PhD positions created by these networks, including Industrial Doctorate and Joint Doctorate are open to candidates from all over the world.
The European Commission has announced the successful applicants to Marie Sklodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) Innovative Training Networks programme on 26 May.
With a total budget of €530 million, MSCA will support 147 Innovative Training Networks involving academic institutions and industrial partners.
These networks cover nearly 1400 organisations – including 158 Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) – as part of the Marie Sklodowska-Curie Actions. The projects will offer extraordinary, global research and training opportunities to 2000 PhD candidates. They will also contribute to increasing the overall quality and innovation of doctoral training in Europe and beyond.
The doctoral training programmes include 114 European Training Networks, 21 European Industrial Doctorates and 12 European Joint Doctorates. The 147 selected projects cover a variety of research areas, including engineering (31%), life sciences (24%) and social sciences (10%).
