Optimal Day-Ahead scheduling for an aggregator of shared EVs that participates in electricity and regulation markets

On this presentation we develop an optimal schedule day-ahead strategy for an aggregator agent that manages a fleet of shared electric vehicles. It is considered that the EVs are able to buy and sell energy to the electricity market, and that they can provide regulation services. The optimal scheduling strategy takes into account the uncertainties related with the power consumption, arrivals and departures of vehicles to the charging stations.

Evaluation metrics and decomposition criteria that lead to optimal system decomposition in terms of system operation reliability

Developing a methodology to decompose large-sclae systems, moreover if the aim is to obtain an optimal result, requires addressing a key issue: the criteria under which a solution is optimal. The proposed decomposition procedure in this work is based on a control-oriented approach, meaning that the decomposition must yield optimal observable or contollable subsystems, according of the purpose of interest.

This presentation shows the results on defining these criteria, that is measured via gramians. However, the systems operation reliability depends on how relevan system components are connected and how the goods or services flow through the system components. Graph based representatons provide the framework to represent these metrics that compose the constraints of the optimal decomposition procedure.
